A Charity Dinner like No Other at the Orient Express

Trust the Taj group of Hotels to pull out all stops for a charity meal where all proceeds go to the Tata Memorial Hospital, more specifically to the children fighting malignancy. While their patrons across cities comprise of the most well heeled, they did not put any price to the memorable meal, instead encouraged all invitees to come together to celebrate the festival of giving and make a difference in whichever way to the lives of the young survivors. We were only to carry along our pan card and cheque book to validate the source of welfare. Quite rightfully. It was the perfect Diwali Eve celebration with Chef Mathew Varghese from the Orient Express at the Taj Diplomatic Enclave and his team presenting the most outstanding menu designed for the guests. The Turkey Project- Where Passion meets Palate

  The new casual American-Italian hot spot, located in Defence Colony, reflects the exuberance and  raring-to-go vibe of the young twenty something Chef at the helm. No wonder then straight from the ambience to the food, it has a refreshing effect, and you are drawn into over indulging the child within. With wood finish, straight lines and greenery by way of potted plants and vine creepers, you are enveloped in a warm, easy-going bonhomie. A perfect environment to catch up with friends or bond with family away from the rut. Chef Kabir Chugh says, "I like to experiment and recreate the universal favourites, however everything has got to be tasty and done right, I was fed up of eating in dark dingy places food I could not really make out, served in toy trains and what not.
